Originally hailing from Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jerry Anderson has been a resident of the Shreveport-Bossier City community since 1985, when he opened the doors to the Jerry Anderson State Farm Agency. Prior to opening his insurance agency, Jerry served as an Officer and Fighter Pilot in the United States Air Force for fifteen years. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Arkansas State University, and maintains an active relationship with his alma mater, working with both the Alumni Association and serving as a founding Charter Member of the Red Wolf 500, the Arkansas State University booster club. Jerry later earned his master's degree in business administration from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. He is an avid sports fan of baseball, basketball, and football and rarely misses an opportunity to travel to an Arkansas State game or catch a Cardinals game in St. Louis. Carrying over from his time in the service, Jerry maintains a passionate love for flying and regularly pilots his 6-seater Cessna across the country to visit family and catch a game. For the past 36 years, Jerry has continued to work as a community leader working with the Bossier City Chamber of Commerce and serving as a Lifetime Member of the Independence Bowl Board of Directors.
